Not really a dress pipe, this one feels more business casual. The slight roughness of the sandblast and dark brown mottled bowl brings a broken-in, welcome feel while the bright white Axis deer antler shank cap and deep black ebonite saddle stem bring class and sophistication at the same time. As with many of my pipes, the light sandblast brings out the ring grain around the entire bowl while the contrast stain makes the straight grain visible through the texture. Also, the rim of the bowl is left smooth for ease of cleaning as well as to show a touch of birdseye grain.
